FAQ
How many hosts does Free cover?
Three. Enough for a laptop, a side-project VM, and one work box. When you need yeet on more machines, Team starts at five included with volume pricing on Enterprise.
What counts as one notification?
One call to yeet.alert() is one notification, regardless of which channel it goes to or how long the message is. Retries on temporary failures don't count as new notifications.
What happens when I hit 100 notifications on Free?
Notifications stop firing for the rest of the month. Your scripts keep running locally and your dashboards keep working — only the Slack send is gated. Upgrade to Team for unlimited alerts.
Are Team alerts really unlimited?
Yes, under fair use. We don't meter individual sends. If a script gets stuck in a loop, our runtime caps obvious runaways at the per-script level — that's a protection for you, not a billing trick.
What happens to my scripts if I downgrade?
Everything you built keeps working locally. If you drop from Team to Free, the host cap drops to 3 and Slack alerts drop to 100/month. Your scripts and dashboards run exactly as before.
Does my data leave my machine?
No. The yeet runtime runs as a daemon on your host. Nothing leaves your infrastructure unless you write a script that sends it somewhere. Slack notifications pass through our cloud only for routing.
Do I need a Slack workspace to use yeet?
No. Free is fully usable without Slack. You only need a Slack workspace if you want yeet to send you alerts.
Can I use yeet for production workloads?
Yes. Yeet runs in production at our enterprise customers today. For multi-host fleets, SSO, audit log export, and contractual support, Enterprise is the right tier.
What's the difference between Team and Enterprise?
Team is for small teams running yeet on a handful of hosts with Slack alerts and a shared YPM namespace. Enterprise adds fleet view across many hosts, SSO and audit log export, custom platform calls, and contractual things like MSAs, SLAs, and a dedicated solutions engineer.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings. Your local scripts keep running; team features and Slack alerts revert to Free limits at the end of the billing period.
